What is telehealth?

Telehealth involves offering medical and health care services through online technologies to facilitate the consultation, diagnosis and treatment for a patient’s health. The patient and the health care provider connect online which sometimes does require the use of video for face to face encounters, but many consultations do not require face to face encounters. The process typically starts with an online encounter with a doctor who then may prescribe medication. The prescription is sent to a pharmacy who will ship the medication to your location.
